Johnny Cake

Ingredients

• 2 tblsp. sugar
• 1 tblsp. shortening
• 2 cups sweet milk
• 1 cup white flour
• 1 ½ cup corn meal
• 2 teasp. baking powder
• pinch salt.

Directions

1. Mix all together and bake at 375o oven.
2. ( Use this same recipe for graham muffins; instead substitute graham flour for the same amount of corn meal. And put in muffins tins.
