Baked Beans

Ingredients

• 2# Sweet Northern Beans
• 12 cups water
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• Pepper = To Taste
• 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
• 3/4 cup syrup
• a Ham bone or slices of Ham

Directions

1. Sort beans and soak over nite or 3 hours in hot water.
2. Drain off water - Then add fresh water and cook.
3. Cook - 2 hrs or more until Beans are soft.
4. I cook a Ham bone or slices of Ham with the Beans.
5. (I put my Ham in food Process and dice it up)
6. When they start to Cook hard. stir turn down and [crossed-out word] cover slow or med.
7. When done add 1/2 teaspoon salt - Pepper = To Taste, 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed), 3/4 cup syrup.
8. Put in pan & Brown on Top -
9. Bake 350 - 1 1/2 hrs until dry
