OLD Fashioned Rice Pudding
OLD Fashioned Rice Pudding

Yield: Serves 8-10
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked Rice
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 3 large eggs (or 3 small)
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 2 Tablespoons margarine
- nutmeg and cinnamon are also used, without quantities, in the final direction
Directions
- Heat milk and add cooked rice.
- Beat eggs, and add sugar, vanilla and raisins.
- Combine with rice and milk mixture.
- Pour in baking dish and dot with margarine.
- Set dish in pan of hot water.
- Bake at 450° for 20 minutes.
- Lower heat to 300° and bake until custard is firm (about 15-20 minutes).
- Sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon.

- heat milk; use a pan of hot water; bake at 450 degrees, then lower to 300 degrees
