Chili-Oodles

Yield: Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • the same quantities and source wording
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup diced green peppers
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch or flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups (16 ounce can) tomatoes

Directions

  1. Brown beef in large skillet. Add onions and garlic, cook and stir until onions are tender.
  2. Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water; add with chili powder, salt, and Worcestershire sauce and green pepper to beef. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  3. Combine cornstarch and 1/4 cup water gradually stir into meat mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens.
  4. Add tomatoes and simmer 10 minutes. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain well. Serve chili over noodles.

  • Cover and simmer 5 minutes.

  • boiling water; brown beef; simmer twice; cook until sauce thickens
