Pin Wheel Ice Box Cookie
Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 1 cup Butter
- 3 eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking Powder
- 1 1/2 cups ground Dates
- 1 1/2 cups ground Walnuts
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup water
Directions
- Cream.
- add
- mix well
- Divide the dough and roll thin 6“ by 12“.
- Spread filling on and roll up like a jelly Roll.
- Wrap in Wax paper and place in refrigerator until cold and firm.
- Slice about 1/4 inch thick and Bake at 350° oven for 13 min.
- Heat over med heat stirring until mix and sugar is dissolved.
- The cookie recipe ends after heating its date-walnut filling until mixed and the sugar is dissolved.

- refrigerate until cold and firm; bake 11-12 minutes, with preferred 13 minutes

- medium heat; original 325° oven; preferred 350° oven
