Mels. Stuffed dates are baked in Cookie Dough

Yield: Makes 36
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/3 cup Butter w Oleo, softened
- 3/4 cup packed Brown Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 1 Package (8 ounces) pitted dates (36)
- 36 Walnut halves -
Directions
- Stir together flour, baking powder & Soda, Set aside.-
- In Medium bowl cream butter & sugar until light & fluffy, Beat in egg & Vanilla until blended, Stir in flour mixture alternately with Sour Cream until blended,
- Stuff dates with walnut halves; using 2 forks, roll each in dough until well covered.
- Drop 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet, Bake in pre-heated 400° oven, 10 minutes or until golden Brown (cookies will be soft to touch) when cooled.-
- Spread with Egg Icing, Makes 36
Timing
- cream until light & fluffy; mix until blended; bake 10 minutes or until golden Brown; when cooled
Temperature
- Butter w Oleo softened; pre-heated 400° oven; when cooled

- medium bowl, mixing utensils, 2 forks, greased cookie sheet, oven

- cookies will be soft to touch when cooled
