Marble Squares

Ingredients

• 1 c butter (softened)
• 1/2 c plus 4 Tblsn sugar
• 1/2 c plus 4 Tbl brown sugar (packed)
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 eggs.
• 2 c flour
• 1 tsp soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 c coarsely chopped walnuts (optional)
• 1-6 oz. package chocolate chips

Directions

1. grease a 9x13 pan.
2. Mix the butter, sugar, & vanilla thoroughly.
3. Beat in eggs and blend in flour, soda, and salt.
4. add nuts.
5. Spread in the pan.
6. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the dough.
7. Place in oven two min.
8. Remove from oven and run a knife through the dough to marbleize it.
9. Return to oven
10. Bake 27 min at 350 degrees.
11. Cool & cut in squares
