Molasses Cake

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup sugar
• 3 tablespoon shortening
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup Molasses
• 1 teaspoon soda, dissolved in 2/3 cup cold water
• 2 scant cups flour
• 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

1. Mix in line.
2. Bake in 350° oven about 30 or 35 minutes.

• about 30 or 35 minutes

• cold water; 350° oven
