- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoon shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup Molasses
- 1 teaspoon soda, dissolved in 2/3 cup cold water
- 2 scant cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Mix in line.
- Bake in 350° oven about 30 or 35 minutes.
Timing: about 30 or 35 minutes
Temperature: cold water; 350° oven
