Johnny Appleseed Cake

Ingredients

• 2 C sifted flour
• 1 C sugar
• 1 t salt
• 1 t cinnamon
• ½ t nutmeg
• ¼ t cloves
• 1 C raisins
• 1 C chopped walnuts
• ½ C melted butter
• 1 1/2 C thick hot applesauce; 2 T salad; add to ing.

Directions

1. Sift together

3. Combine 1 1/2 C thick hot applesauce / 2 T salad / add to ing.; Serve = Cream cheese / whipped cream / or hard sauce
4. Pour into well greased lightly floured 9 x 9 x 2 or 11 x 7 x 2
5. Bake - moderate oven 350° - 40-50 min
