Johnny Appleseed Cake

- 2 C sifted flour
- 1 C sugar
- 1 t salt
- 1 t cinnamon
- ½ t nutmeg
- ¼ t cloves
- 1 C raisins
- 1 C chopped walnuts
- ½ C melted butter
- 1 1/2 C thick hot applesauce; 2 T salad; add to ing.
Directions
- Sift together
- add
- Combine 1 1/2 C thick hot applesauce / 2 T salad / add to ing.; Serve = Cream cheese / whipped cream / or hard sauce
- Pour into well greased lightly floured 9 x 9 x 2 or 11 x 7 x 2
- Bake - moderate oven 350° - 40-50 min
Timing: 40-50 min
Temperature: hot applesauce; moderate oven 350°
Equipment: 9 x 9 x 2 or 11 x 7 x 2 pan
