The recipe and the card belong together.

This site preserves Arwilda Williams’s recipes in the boxes, binders, tins, and folders where she kept them. The transcription makes the collection searchable. The source image keeps the handwriting, paper, crossings-out, and context visible.

How edits are handled

When Arwilda clearly replaced wording, the recipe uses her final visible wording. An “Arwilda’s note” addendum records the earlier text and the change. If a mark or word cannot be read reliably, the uncertainty stays visible instead of being silently resolved.

What is included

The archive includes recipes, fragments, personal and household notes, menus, references, advertisements, divider cards, collection photographs, unreadable material, and blank backs that preserve how related cards were captured.
