Banana Oatmeal Cookies

Yield: Makes about 4 dozen.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar;
- 3/4 cup shortening; until light & fluffy
- 1 egg, beat well:
- 1 cup mashed bananas;
- 1½ cups (quick) rolled oats;
- ½ cup chopped nut meats;
- 1½ cups sifted flour;
- ½ teaspoon soda;
- 1 teaspoon salt;
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg;
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamin;
Directions
- Cream: 1 cup sugar; 3/4 cup shortening; until light & fluffy
- Add: 1 egg, beat well:
- Add: 1 cup mashed bananas; 1½ cups (quick) rolled oats; ½ cup chopped nut meats;
- Mix thoroughly:
- Sift to-gether/: ... 3/4 teaspoon cinnamin;
- Add flour mixture and blend all to-gether. Drop from a teaspoon onto ungreased cooky sheet, placing cookies about 1½ inches apart. Bake in a hot oven (400, degree) about 15 mi nutes or until done. remove from pan at once.
Timing: about 15 mi nutes or until done
