OLD FASHIONED ROCK CANDY
Yield: 2 pounds.
Ingredients
- 6 cups Domino® Granulated Sugar
- 3 cups water
- ¾ tsp. cream of tartar
- fruit juice for liquid, or flavored extract and desired food coloring
- grease for square pan
Directions
- Cook these ingredients quickly without stirring to 290°F.
- Substitute fruit juice for liquid, or add flavored extract and desired food coloring.
- Pour quickly into greased square pan.
- Chill until firm.
- Turn out of pan; crack into desired pieces.
Temperature: 290°F
