BAKED TOMATOES IN MUSTARD SAUCE

From Thursday, October 15, 1953; MEET THE MILLERS; HOME SERVICE; IROQUOIS GAS CORPORATION.
Ingredients
- 6 tomatoes
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1 tbsp. milk
- 1 tbsp. capers
- pinch salt
- bread crumbs and butter are also used in the method
Directions
- Halve tomatoes and place in buttered baking dish.
- Salt rather heavily.
- Mix remaining ingredients and spread over tomatoes.
- Cover with bread crumbs.
- Bake at 350° for 40 min.
Timing: 40 min.
Temperature: Bake at 350°; sauce is also excellent heated
Equipment: knife, mixing bowl and utensil, spreading utensil, buttered baking dish, oven

- This sauce is also excellent heated and served on cauliflower.
