Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
- 1 small beef soup bone
- 3 onions
- 1 small ham bone
- 3 stalk celery
- 2 1/4 C split peas
- 3 bay leaves
- 6 med. potatoes
- 3 qt water
- salt + pepper.
Directions
- presoak over nite - veg. dried.
- Cook all till pulpy. Strain thru collander. cool meat + diced.
- return to kettle + cook till thick.
- can be canned in jars & when served dilute to 1 or 2 C milk or water or stock + simmer few min.
Equipment: collander; kettle; jars
